In this course you will learn all about first aid. Prevention and safety are also covered in detail.
This basic First Aid course includes 16 hours of training. Participants in this course obtain a certification recognized by the federal government under ARAB obligations.
The training consists of a theoretical and a practical part. Using oral and visual presentation techniques, the instructor will discuss and explain the various modules in detail.
Among other things, the course discusses the duties of the company emergency worker and how to correctly evaluate an emergency situation. Of course, we teach you how to perform basic CPR according to the latest European guidelines.
Choking, safety posture, stopping severe bleeding, wound care and fire and chemical injuries are also covered. We continue with poisoning, limb injuries (contusion, sprain, dislocation, fractures), spinal injuries, disorders of consciousness (faintness, concussion, epilepsy…) and respiratory disorders (asthma, allergy, hyperventilation, shortness of breath).
Finally, circulatory disorders (heart attack, shock, stroke), specific injuries and pathologies within the company are also discussed and we visit and evaluate our own first aid facilities e.g. the first aid room.
This course is also offered via E-Learning. Here you follow the course at your own pace via the Internet. You will receive a login from us to access this course on the E-learning platform. Student evaluation is done online. When it is positive, it is possible to move on to practical training. In our E-learning offerings, this course is named: ‘Basic First Aid Course’. If one wishes to obtain a BLS certificate, recognized by the ERC, this can be requested separately. This certificate is valid throughout Europe.
