Because first aid is constantly evolving, the industrial helper certification is only valid for 5 years.
This certification is renewable through refresher training.
One obtains a 5-year extension after 20 continuing education hours.
The advantage of proper refresher courses is that the existing knowledge is refreshed, updated and also expanded with new topics.
