Who are we?
The Safety Expertise Center is a young organization created by a group of professionals (doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, ambulance drivers and pedagogues) with several years of experience in emergency medical care.
By pooling our experience and offering joint educational support, we want to share expertise in order to contribute to a wider dissemination of good Safety knowledge and thus assistance in Belgium.
A Safety Coach for your organization!
An accident happens quickly, even if one tries so hard to avoid it.
As healthcare professionals, we must be prepared for this.
In such emergencies, we as healthcare providers obviously have every interest in an adequate and workable plan (customized).
After all, prompt and correct intervention saves costs – and more importantly – minimizes human suffering.
Our proposal: a Safety Coach for your organization!
We regularly hear from care providers how important it is to refresh their knowledge on First Aid, Ergonomics, Communication, Fire, VCA/risk full tasks, specialized wound care, professional competence (Code 95) and other safety topics.
Admittedly, they themselves organize the mandatory hours of refresher training each year.
Nevertheless, the demand for more support remains.
We meet this demand by regularly bringing together all employees involved in safety and care policy within your organization.
Under the guidance of our Safety Coach, we reflect on what has happened in terms of safety within your organization.
In this way, your caregivers increase their involvement in the safety policy.
The caregivers in question feel more confident to intervene in case of an unexpected situation.
Through feedback from an independent professional, a bond of trust is created between the caregiver and the coach.
During these meetings, theory is also refreshed, keeping their knowledge up to date.
These consultation moments can be considered mandatory continuing education hours.
Who are the Safety Coaches?
These are nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists paramedics, firefighters or communication specialists who are in practice every day.
In addition to their regular job within the healthcare industry, they are available to provide you with ongoing support.
They are available via e-mail for any questions from caregivers or prevention advisors.
They help look for solutions.
And convert these questions into feedback and training tailored to your needs.
Our courses teach you what to do (or not to do) in emergency situations.
Our certified instructors not only teach you how to act correctly, but also point out prevention and safety.
Of course, always with the necessary professional expertise and according to the highest professional standards.
