Training developed by the European Resuscitation Council based on the latest ERC guidelines.
The training sets the European standard on resuscitation guidelines and improves the skills of the healthcare professional.
Participants receive extensive hands-on training in recognizing and treating the various causes of cardiac arrest.
Participants will learn to act appropriately and as a team in the event of imminent or actual cardiac arrest. During this training one learns: – Approach and treat victims with arrest or peri-arrest using an ABCDE approach.
– Manage a heart attack together with a multidisciplinary team within an emergency situation.
– Dealing with standardized resuscitation guidelines. The classroom portion of 2 days will be preceded by a theoretical portion via E-learning.
Participants who pass the training will receive a 3-year ALS certificate.
Continuing education for this course is 1 day in length.
– CPR and defibrillation.
– ECG interpretation.
– Airway management and ventilation.
– Policy in peri-arrest arythmias.
– Acid-base balance.
– Resuscitation in special circumstances.
– Ethical aspects and care in case of death.
– Workshops, skills stations, CAS training (Cardiac arrest simulation).
Although the training is aimed primarily at physicians and nurses working in an emergency department or intensive care unit, it can benefit all healthcare professionals expected to perform CPR as part of a team.
